About Oskar Films
Oskar Films is an award-winning film production company founded in February 2017 by veteran journalist Frank DiCesare. Its aim is to provide the best in short- and long-form documentaries that inspire and educate viewers about their history and culture with content that is always apolitical.
Our debut film, "Blacksmith," a 16-minute poetic documentary, features Rob Flurry, the resident blacksmith at the Spindletop-Gladys City Boomtown Museum in Beaumont, Texas. In 2018, "Blacksmith" was awarded the Special Jury Remi award at the 51st Worldfest - Houston International Film Festival.
Since its online premiere on May 5, 2018, "Blacksmith" has been available on streaming channels such as Amazon Prime Video, Vimeo On Demand, GuideDoc, FlexNetTV, and others. To date, the film has been streamed by viewers in more than 110 countries around the world. Visit Our Viewers page for more information. We are grateful for all our ticket-buyers and sponsors.
Today, Oskar Films is in production on its new documentary, FRAMES, a feature-length film that will examine analog film's resurgence in the 2020s. FRAMES has been registered with the Writers Guild of America and the U.S. Copyright Office.
Oskar Films is a division of DiCesare Media Company, LLC, a creative services firm based in Bradenton, Florida.
